CR-Z does for Honda what Golf does for VW, it is one of the world’s best hot hatches and as these teaser images suggest, it is going to get hotter.
Back in 2010, when they began manufacturing the CR-Z in Japan, Honda‘s aim was to create a fun-to-drive Hybrid, which is why they opted for a three-door mini hatchback over any other pattern.
The current CR-Z weighs around 1.2 tons and is powered by a 1.5-liter engine coupled to an electric motor, offering a combined peak output of 124 hp and 128 lb-ft (175 Nm). Now though, a change is coming on the CR-Z as Honda Japan’s website has teased a facelift version of the which will be shown on 27th of September at the Paris Motor Show.
Three details are revealed about the new CR-Z. First off, there’s a new headlight, framed at the bottom by LEDs. Next, Honda shows a fresh design for the wheels, an evolution of the five-double-spoke design with black accents.
Lastly, there’s a S+ button. Right now, the CR-Z has three driving modes: Econ, Normal and Sport. Hopefully, this will be matched by a power bump.

Intellectual Property or ‘IP’ in short has a very significant importance. From a simple song or movie writer or composer to high-end innovations or research,  Intellectual Property protection is critical to fostering innovation. Stealing copyrights can be taken as breaking into someone’s house and stealing.
In many countries, laws protecting Intellectual Property rights have been essentially ignored and China is one of them. One can buy a 100% working copy of Rolex for merely a few dollars which actually costs thousands of dollars. Cell phones, designers bags and other electronics have flooded the markets with such counterfeit products. You can even buy and drink a replica Starbucks coffee.  Though these knockoffs give public an option to buy cheap products who cannot afford the originals but they also damage the original inventor and producer/manufacturer.
Quality and reliability is an obvious issue with these knockoffs. Companies spend a hefty amount every year protecting their innovations, designs, research via legal firms all across the world.
When it comes to the automobile sector it is no different either. From a simple logo to design technology, everything aspect is protected under IP. Automobile companies are investing billions of dollars in China as it is one of the largest market for any automotive manufacturer.
Recently at an auto show in China a Range Rover Evoque along with its replica LandWind X7 SUV was on display. At first sight, one will surely take it as an Evoque but in reality it was a local Chinese made copy.
LandWind is a Chinese car maker created by a joint venture between car makers Changan Auto and Jiangling Motors Corporation. Changan Auto is one of the top four Chinese car makers and working in other joint ventures with Ford, Peugeot Citroen and Suzuki.
Land Rover Jaguar group has a joint venture with Chinese automaker “Chery” for Chinese market and according to LRJ; what LandWind has done with the X7 damages its business in China.
The CEO of Land Rover, Dr. Ralf Speth is not happy on this development at all  and released an official statement as below.
“The fact that this kind of copying is ongoing in China is very disappointing. The simple principal is that it is not something that should happen; the intellectual property is owned by Jaguar Land Rover and if you break that IP then you are in breach of international regulations that apply around the world.
As a company we have invested heavily in China with our joint venture partner Chery. That commitment is based on a clear business plan, that allows us to hit our sales targets at clear prices. Anything that damages the potential profitability of our plant damages the integrity of those plans.
I will talk to our officials and I will talk to our partners at Chery to find a way around this situation. I cannot imagine Chinese officials will be happy at any actions that undermine the credibility of the country. What we have seen today is not correct.”
The Evoque sells for $62000 in China while the X7 will be for sale at only $22000 in early 2015. X7 is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine either with a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic gearbox that produces 188 horsepower at the wheels.  This is not the first incident. Few months ago media saw a cloned Range Rover Sport  which is known as Gonow GX6

Stunt scenes in movies are very coordinated, planned and expensive to shoot. A lot of budget goes into this. Due to the new computer aided technologies some stunts can be done on computer screens. A few second clip takes hundreds of hours to record. Till now you have been seeing cars or SUVs doing these stunts.
The recent stunt which hit the news feeds is something which will move you to the edge of your couch. A semi truck doing an 83 feet and 7 inches long jump after going over the ramp and landing on its all wheels and making a world record. Stunt director Mike Ryan called it one of his dream stunts as never anyone has even thought about it. Doing it practically will make people think you are insane. But now it has already happened. Both truck driver and F1 driver are professional stunt drivers and have been doing stunts in all famous movies like  Bond, Bourne and Fast & Furious movies. The stunt is recorded as a commercial for  a cloud computing and data management company EMC Enterprise that also works with Lotus F1 team.

One of the very first things a person does when he comes of age is to get his/her driving licence as soon as possible. The difficulty of obtaining a driving licence varies from country to country. In some countries, getting a driving licence is a one-day process. You just have to go to the relevant office, apply for the licence and after some paperwork and a practical test, you walk away with a licence, but in some countries, it is harder than obtaining a master’s degree. Auto Express, a UK based car magazine, conducted a research to find out the different difficulty levels of obtaining the driving licence around the globe. The asked Ian McIntosh, the CEO of RED Driving School, to grade each country’s test. McIntosh said, “There are huge disparities in driving tests from country to country and it is shocking how standards vary.” He did not give any country five stars rating saying that “there’s always room for improvement.”

Remember the viral videos and emails of the airless tire that everyone who knew you were a car enthusiast, sent the pictures of this tire concept in forward mails? It has been a long time since then and research and development of this tire concept has come a long long way. So far ahead that Michelin is actually going to mass-produce this tire and you may be able to buy it off a tire dealer.
Tweel as it is called, is wheel and a tire, which uses flexible spindles instead of the area where a traditional tire keeps air. Tweel also can’t be punctured or go flat and after more than a decade in just concept images; Michelin has dedicated its entire South Carolina factory in the US to make this mass-quantities.
Tweel is sort of an ambition for Michelin as well, because the company has allocated $ 50 million, South Carolina’s 135,000 square-foot facility and 100 staff members, all dedicated to just produce the Tweel.
And Michelin has already been selling the Tweel for small skid-steer loader construction vehicles apart from the fact they were roughly used on everything that uses wheels to move around.
Michelin’s Vice President of Tweel Technologies Ralph Dimenna, “lower-speed, off-road applications where downtime from flat tires is a concern,” though former Michelin research director Ralph Hulseman thinks the Tweel will see duty on passenger cars at some point in the future however,  right now, the Tweel will be the OEM tire on the John Deere ZTrak 900 lawn mower.

Pakistan Army uses quite a few troop carriers; the Land Rover Defender, Toyota Hilux, Hino Trucks and the Mitsubishi L200. While most of these vehicles haven’t received a new model or anything for quite some time, the Mitsubishi L200 also known as Triton, after eight years of remaining the same, Mitsubishi unveiled an all new 2015 model in Thailand.
For far too long, the L200 has ferried our brothers in arms across difficult terrain and hostile environment, it is a job then with heavy burden. The L200 is a versatile and tough vehicle so it works quite well in the environment as far as we can tell without having the opportunity to have reviewed it. Nevertheless, The new L200 has been given the text-book modernisation effects such as: LED lights, chrome girlle and chrome here and there.
New minimalistic interior, with climate control, new comfy seats and so on have also been given but I doubt, that the military version which our army uses would have such luxuries.
The new L200 is available with both RWD and AWD while there is a total selection of 4 engines which you choose from: A 2.4 liter petrol engine which produces 128 PS and 194 Nm. of torques while the 2.4 liter turbo-diesel engine produces 181 PS and 430 Nm. of torque.
The other two are both 2.5 liter diesel engines, one of which produces 128 PS and the other produces 178 PS, and whatever engine you choose, you can have it with either five or six-speed manual or a five-speed automatic transmission.
Whatever the case is, may be the new model will be sometime in the future be inducted into our armed forces until then, the current has to make do.
